Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, who sees it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.

Effective October 28, 2026

1. Who we are

trackReg is an event registration, payment and waiver platform for motorsport clubs and the drivers who enter their events. It is run by Oversteer Labs LLC, a Georgia limited liability company (“trackReg”, “we”, “us”). This policy covers the trackReg website at trackreg.app, the trackReg apps, and the emails and text messages we send.

2. Clubs and trackReg

Clubs use trackReg to run their events. When you register for a club’s event, join a club or sign its waiver, that club receives the information you give it and the records it keeps about your entry. Each club is responsible for how it uses that information, under its own policies. We process it on the club’s behalf to provide trackReg, and we use it for our own purposes only as this policy describes.

3. What we collect

Information you give us

  • Account details: your name, email address, mobile number, password or passkey, and the profiles you manage for family members.
  • Registration details a club’s form asks for, which can include your date of birth, postal address, emergency contact, licenses and memberships, driving experience, vehicle details (including VIN), car number and class, and answers to the club’s own questions.
  • Waivers: your signature, the waiver you signed, and when and from what device you signed it. A parent or guardian signs for a minor.
  • Photos you upload, for example for a club’s photo credential.
  • Messages and support requests you send us or a club through trackReg.

Information clubs add about you

The clubs you enter with can record check-in, tech inspection results, instructor pairings and evaluations, notes in their log book, incident reports, membership status, and payments and credits on your entries.

Payment information

Card and bank payments are handled by our payment processor. We never receive or store your full card number. We receive the card brand, its last four digits, its expiry date, and the result of each payment, refund and payout.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit and when, and technical logs we need to run the service and keep it secure.
  • Bug reports and errors: when you send a bug report from Help, it carries the page, console output, a request id, your browser, and an optional screenshot. Reports never include request bodies, cookies or tokens, and screenshots mask password and other private fields. Errors in the app are recorded in our self-hosted error tracker (GlitchTip), and support requests and bug reports go to our self-hosted support desk (Libredesk).
  • Location: if you allow it in the app, your approximate location, to show events near you. We don’t keep a history of it.
  • Push notification tokens, if you turn on notifications in the app.

4. How we use it

  • To run your account and the registrations, waivers, payments and check-ins you make.
  • To send the emails and texts you need about your account and entries, and those you opt in to (see text messages).
  • To let clubs run their events and manage their members.
  • To process payments, refunds and payouts, and to prevent fraud.
  • To answer support requests and fix problems.
  • To keep trackReg secure and to improve it.
  • To meet our legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:

  • The clubs you register with or join, which receive your registration, waiver and entry details for their events, as described in section 2.
  • Other drivers, when you choose: for example, an entry list a club makes public, or a co-driver on your team.
  • Service providers who run parts of trackReg for us under contract: our payment processor, hosting and storage, email delivery, and text message delivery. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
  • For legal reasons: when the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our users, the clubs, the public or trackReg.
  • In a business transfer: if Oversteer Labs LLC is merged, acquired or sells its assets, under this policy’s protections.

6. Text messages and mobile numbers

We send text messages only as our SMS terms describe: verification codes you ask for, and event notifications and club announcements you opt in to.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from every category of sharing in this policy and will not be shared with any third parties. Sharing with the service providers that deliver our messages, only so they can deliver them, is permitted.

The clubs you enter with can see the mobile number on your entry, and can text you only through trackReg, and only if you have opted in. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help.

7. Cookies and analytics

  • This website (trackreg.app’s public pages) sets no cookies and runs no analytics.
  • The trackReg app uses cookies that are needed to sign you in and keep your session secure.
  • Club event pages: a club can turn on Google Analytics or the Meta Pixel for its own event pages. They load only if you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change your answer at any time with “Your privacy choices” in the footer, and we treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a decline.

8. How long we keep it

  • Account information for as long as your account is open. When you close it, we delete or anonymize it, except what we must keep for the reasons below.
  • Signed waivers for 7 years by default, and longer for minors, because clubs rely on them as legal records. A club can set a longer period.
  • Payment and tax records for as long as the law requires, usually 7 years.
  • Support requests, bug reports and error events for as long as we need them to resolve the problem and keep the service reliable.

9. Your choices and rights

  • See, download and correct your information in your account, or ask us.
  • Close your account from your account’s settings, or ask us. Records we must keep, such as signed waivers and payment records, stay for the periods above.
  • Emails: choose which kinds of message you get in your notification settings, or use the unsubscribe link in any email that isn’t about your account or an entry.
  • Texts: reply STOP, or turn texts off in your notification settings.
  • Cookies: decline analytics in the cookie banner or with “Your privacy choices”.

Depending on where you live, you may have further rights, such as to know what personal information we hold about you, to have it deleted or corrected, to get a copy of it, and to opt out of its sale or use for targeted advertising (we don’t sell it). To use any of these rights, email info@trackreg.app. We’ll confirm your identity before we act, and we won’t treat you differently for using them. If your request is about information a club holds, we may refer you to that club.

10. Children and minors

trackReg is not directed at children under 13, and children under 13 may not create an account. Some events are open to minors: a parent or guardian registers the minor from the guardian’s own account and signs for them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information without a parent or guardian, email us and we’ll delete it.

11. Security

We protect your information with encryption in transit, access controls, and by never storing full card numbers. No system is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee it, but we work to protect your information and will tell you if a breach affects you as the law requires.

12. Where your information is stored

trackReg is run from the United States, and your information is stored and processed there. If you use trackReg from outside the United States, such as Canada, your information is transferred to the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and if a change is significant we’ll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
